Green Schools Committee

USGBC's vision is that every child will go to school in a high-performance, green school within this generation.

Innovation in Green Design Award and the Massachusetts Green Building of the Year Award

The Innovation in Green Design Award was started in 2008 as a way to recognize the most innovative green buildings and products in Massachusetts.  Past winners have showed ingenuity, replicability, and scored well on the triple bottom line, an important concept in sustainability that considers the building’s overall impact on economic prosperity, environmental quality, and social equity. 

Education Commitee

Our Committee Mission

Serve as the center point, information clearinghouse, or manager of green education in Massachusetts. Evaluate existing programs and develop the direction of future educational programming.  This Committee is expected to coordinate with the interest‐based subcommittees of the Membership Committee.
