West Branch Study Group: Energy and Atmosphere

Self‐directed, participatory study group facilitated by members of the USGBC MA Chapter – West Branch and seasoned green building professionals, including Jeffrey Dalzell and Craig Nichols.

The Study Group convenes on Mondays from 5:30-7:30, UMass Amherst, Holdsworth Hall 211, with an info session starting 1/28 and then in the following sequence:

• 2/11: USGBC Programs: Green Building Core Concepts
• 2/25: Sustainable Sites
• 3/4: Water Efficiency
• 3/11: Energy and Atmosphere
• 3/25: Materials and Resources
• 4/1: Indoor Environmental Quality
• 4/8: Innovation in Design
• 4/22 Green Associate Exam Prep

The course costs $80 for Chapter Members, $160 for non-members, and $25 for Students.

LEED Credentials from the Green Building Certification Institute indicate professional excellence and a strong depth of knowledge as well as practital understanding of the USGBC LEED Rating Systems and how they apply to the high‐performance design and construction of the built environment. 

You will need some materials: USGBC’s Green Building and LEED Core Concepts Guide, LEED Green Associate Study Guide, and extensive study of the following websites: www.usgbc.org, www.gbci.org, www.leedonline.com.
